The Intersection of Research and Education
Northwestern University
Science and Engineering Library and Laboratories
Opened to the public in 1977, the Seeley G. Mudd Library for Science and Engineering has served the Northwestern campus for over 40 years. To adapt to changing technology and future program needs, the university commenced a renovation and expansion, transforming the existing building into a new state-of-the-art facility. The expansion adds two floors to the original three-story structure and wraps the building on two sides, extending the building's use to include science and engineering research and office space.
