Sentry's New Office Building Officially Opens Its Doors

A ribbon-cutting attended by employees of Sentry Insurance – including Pete McPartland, Sentry chairman of the board, president, and CEO – representatives of the design and construction team, community leaders, and Wisconsin Governor Tony Evers marks the official opening of Sentry's new office building adjacent to its world headquarters in Stevens Point. The 270,000-square-foot, seven-story building houses up to 600 employees in the claims, national accounts and transportation departments, and gives the company high-quality space with which it can attract and retain associates.

Designed by Flad to reflect the company's progressive attitude toward the nature of the work and the character of the workplace, the building's "parallel bar" structural form is a direct response to Sentry's brand and logo promising "two equal parts of a conversation." Its pair of equally sized wings are offset to allow more access to daylight and views, and they're linked by a skylit atrium that promotes interconnectivity and collaboration among users via ornamental stairs connecting the different levels. Customizable office spaces, meeting and conference rooms, an on-site cafeteria, fitness and wellness centers, health services, and a garden terrace are among the building's features.
