Healthpeak Vantage Campus Nominated for Archello Laboratory of the Year Award

Flad-designed Healthpeak Properties Vantage life science campus is nominated for a 2025 Archello Award for Laboratory Building of the Year. Vantage is joined by another Flad project, Torrey Heights, on the list of nominees.

Over 1,000 projects were submitted for the international awards. Public voting for Archello Awards is open now through December 1.

Located in the heart of South San Francisco's biotech corridor, Vantage offers 342,000 square feet of leasable, state-of-the-art life science laboratory and office space. Taking design inspiration from crystalline structures, Vantage's iconic sculptural massing and distinctive articulation anchor the intersection and front door of the campus with the site's modern aesthetic.

Contributing to Vantage's LEED Gold certification, the glass façade features articulated fins, frit patterns, and solid spandrels designed to maximize solar heat gain during winter months and minimize heat gain in the summer while optimizing daylight deep into the floor plate year-round.

With a modern design inspired by an airplane hangar, the 40,000-square-foot amenity building offers upscale convenience for tenants and the community. It includes an eclectic food hall featuring local chefs, a full-service rooftop bar, fitness center, conference space, and more. The Hangar is organized around a central monumental stair with informal seating areas in a double-height, open lobby.

Vantage was also the only North American project included on Archello's initial longlist for Low/Mid-Rise Office Building of the Year.
