Article Features Flad's Master Plan for UW-Madison CALS Campus

A recent article in the Wisconsin State Journal details the reasons for facility upgrades across the University of Wisconsin-Madison College of Agricultural and Life Sciences (CALS) and provides an overview of Flad's master plan to support the college's long-term success.

CALS is located within the heart of the UW-Madison campus. With several aging facilities and an aim to grow while being prepared for the evolving needs of research, CALS engaged Flad to conduct a facilities master plan to determine how best to meet defined programmatic needs for the next 20 years and beyond.

Flad evaluated 26 of the 31 campus buildings that comprise CALS and outlined near- and long-term recommendations to strategically align facilities and resources to best position the college to develop the next generation of researchers and practitioners. Through renovation, consolidation, new construction, and more efficient space utilization, the college can continue to grow while requiring less total footprint.
