Penn State Health celebrated the opening of the Penn State Health Cancer Center at Hampden Medical Center with a dedication ceremony on Oct. 20. Flad partnered with Penn State Health to design the new 40,000-square-foot cancer center.
The new cancer center consolidates several existing practices and services to offer patients the full spectrum of cancer services in a single location. Comprehensive services include physician appointments, diagnostic imaging, lab services, infusion treatments, medical oncology, radiation therapy, breast care, and access to education and support programs.
The new facility provides patients with easy access to world-class cancer care from a multidisciplinary team of specialists. The center also offers advanced therapies and access to innovative clinical trials, giving patients opportunities to benefit from the latest breakthroughs in cancer prevention, treatment, and care.
The design includes a new dedicated entrance that allows direct access to the cancer center on the ground level.
