Jeff Zutz Takes Reins as Flad CEO

Jeffrey C. Zutz, AIA, LEED AP, who has served as managing principal for the past 12 years, has been named president and chief executive officer, succeeding William Bula, who remains with the firm in a principal advisory position.

Jeff joined Flad in 1989 and has extensive background in all aspects of architectural practice. Recent clients with whom he has worked include Johnson & Johnson, Gilead, CUNY, Shire, Sentry Insurance and both Argonne and Idaho National Laboratories. As Flad's managing principal, he helped develop and lead cohesive project teams of planners, architects, interior designers, and consultants to meet demanding project criteria and schedules. In his new role, he will lead the firm's strategic initiative to grow its global brand.

"Flad's culture of innovative and expertise-driven design will continue to be at the core of the firm as we move forward," Zutz said after the announcement, "as will our staff's dedication to creative problem-solving and exceptional client service."
