AAMC // GIP Space Symposium

Monday, October 16, 2017
4:15-5:30pm

Denver, Colorado

The AAMC's Group on Institutional Planning pledges "Promising Practices for the 21st Century" during this year's GIP Space Symposium, and in this session, participants will get to ask whether their research space is ready for the future. Flad's Mark Corey will discuss current and anticipated research trends and their implications on space, including topics such as large versus small animals, wet lab versus dry lab space, and how technology (use of computer versus live models, for example) will influence traditional research space planning. How can organizations translate trends and the impact on their current research and strategic plans? Examples of how an organization modified their original project concept to incorporate new research advances will be shared.
