Flad Principal Chad Zuberbuhler co-authored a recently published article in Lab Design News about the University of Kentucky's new Agricultural Research Building. Chad served as principal laboratory planner on the project, which establishes a new primary research and teaching hub for the Martin-Gratton College of Agriculture, Food and Environment (CAFE).
UK broke ground on the 269,000-square-foot research building in June, marking a new era for the CAFE. The Agricultural Research Building is designed to foster interdisciplinary agricultural research and collaboration. The new facility will include over 60,000 square feet of state-of-the-art wet and dry research and teaching laboratories supporting a wide range of programs including entomology, horticulture, plant sciences, plant pathology, and soil sciences.
The college's revitalization plan also includes Flad's work on the comprehensive renovation of 120-year-old Scovell Hall, the new home of the college's administrative offices.
